The pictures below are from the very first "On the Streets" summer
fete in 1995. That was just the start! For more details on turfing

The streets of the Methleys have always been full of life. Residents
who have been here a while will tell you stories of when November 5th
meant a bonfire out in the middle of the street on the sets. Tarmac
put an end to that but since 1995 there have been a range of
activities taking place outdoors in the summer under the banner "On
the Streets".
